What is AnalyticsView?
AnalyticsView is a hosted application that helps you create custom performance reports in a fraction of the time it takes to manually compile multiple Google Analytics reports into a single spreadsheet. For example, a SEO report typically takes a couple of hours to put together by hand . With AnalyticsView, it only takes a couple of minutes to complete and produces a nicely formatted, one-page report.
It is important to point out that AnalyticsView is a reporting tool that works with your Google Analytics and is not a stand-alone web analytics solution. Who created AnalyticsView?
AnalyticsView was created by EpikOne, a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant (GAAC). EpikOne helps companies of all sizes to improve website performance through strategic consulting as well as a variety of service, support and training options to set up, configure, audit and effectively use Google Analytics. Along with AnalyticsView, EpikOne is also the creator of SiteScan, a Google Analytics Tracking Code verification tool. Both of these valuable tools, plus others in development, were created by EpikOne out of necessity to improve and streamline their own consulting efforts.
Is AnalyticsView directly associated with Google and Google Analytics?
No. AnalyticsView was created by EpikOne, a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant (GAAC). Google Analytics™ is the trademark of Google, Inc. and is not affiliated with AnalyticsView. Google, Inc. accepts no responsibility, liability and does not provide support to individuals choosing to use AnalyticsView.
How does AnalyticsExperts work?
After signing up for an AnalyticsView account, you are guided through a basic, four-step process that validates your Google Analytics account and associates it with the profile(s) you are going to add to your AnalyticsView dashboard. AnalyticsView works completely through a "View Reports Only" user account that you will create, so there is never any interaction with your Google Analytics master account or administrative account settings. You will also add an AnalyticsView access validation profile that is unique to your account. Once this process is completed, AnalyticsView will utilize the Google Analytics user account you created to access profile data and process it in the AnalyticsView application. The end result is a successfully completed AnalyticsView report.
What are the system requirements to use AnalyticsView?
First and foremost you must have Google Analytics properly installed on your website. If not, go to Google Analytics and sign up for your free account. EpikOne offers a variety of free resources to help with your Google Analytics setup at their support website, AnalyticsExperts.
Since AnalyticsView is a hosted service, the only other requirements are internet access, JavaScript enabled, and use of one of the following supported website browsers: Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox (2.0 or higher), and Safari (3.0 or higher).
How do I sign up for AnalyticsView?
The AnalyticsView sign up page allows you to choose either the Free Plan or Pro Plan. The Free Plan does not require that you provide a credit card unless you decide to upgrade to the Pro Plan. The Pro Plan requires a credit card upon sign up, but provides a 7-day free trial. If you decide that the Pro Plan is not for you, simply downgrade to the Free Plan or cancel your account before the trial period ends, and you will not be charged the monthly subscription fee. When signing up for an AnalyticsView Pro Plan, do I need to commit to a long-term subscription?
No. AnalyticsView is a monthly subscription service. After your first billing date, your credit card will be charged every 30-days thereafter until you decide to downgrade to the Free Plan or cancel your account. Complete details can be found in our Terms of Service.
